Learning with each other

On Fatherhood:

A Supportive Group Exploring the Complexity and Challenges of Fatherhood

Our weekly group will engage in supportive, personal conversations about the issues that arise as we grow into the role and face the challenge of Fatherhood. Parenting is one of the most demanding, confusing, and joyful experiences we can have. We will explore our intentions as fathers, as well as the influences that come from relationships with our own fathers, families, and models of parenting.

As each father and child relationship is unique, and there are no manuals that guarantee how to be a good father. This is not a “how to” group because there are many versions of being a good father that come from how each of us tries to bring in our own unique ways of loving and caring. Nevertheless, there are principles that can guide us as there are basic ways of caring and attending to a child that fosters growth and confidence. This group will provide the space for reflection and greater self-awareness to be a more present and aware father, while also providing support that each of us is not alone in facing the sometimes daunting challenges of parenting.
